Tron, created by a non-profit organization based in Singapore known as the Tron Foundation, aims to become a decentralized entertainment content sharing platform with the goal of utilizing peer-to-peer and Blockchain technology. Tron’s founder and CEO is Justin Sun. Who is also the founder of Peiwo APP (Chinese Snapchat), Forbes 30 under 30 member, and former chief representative of Ripple in China.

Tronix Functionality

The Tron platform will allow digital content creators to eliminate the need for middlemen in their operations. Such as the Google Play or Apple stores. The platform will allow content creators to directly distribute their work to clients without having to pay excessive fees to third parties, thus increasing their bottom line.

TRX has a few phases to its project. Starting with Exodus, Odyssey, Great Voyage, Apollo, Star Trek, and Eternity.

The Exodus phase aims to provide users with distributed file sharing. Odyssey will provide incentives for creating a community of content creators and implement a “tipping” system instead of views and click through rates, with TRX being used to facilitated exchanges between creators and consumers. Great Voyage and Apollo will allow content creators to conduct individual ICOs or to distribute branded tokens in order to develop their own personal content brand. These phases will require TRX to create its own Blockchain.

Star Trek will attempt to emulate a decentralized forecasting and gaming platform within the TRX ecosystem. Eternity will grant the ability to host fundraisers and monetize on community growth.

There are 100,000,000,000 TRX in circulation. Additionally, TRX will be transferred into the Peiwo APP, thus it will provide ten million users with the opportunity to exchange the digital currency.
